Game One Last Season Legendary Game Ones of the Past

August 28, 2014: The Hartford Indians kicked off the 2014 season on the road at Martin, where they faced a Clippers team that had not won a game since the first round of the playoffs in 2007. The Indians kept that streak intact, racing out to a 36-0 halftime lead en route to a 44-6 victory. With the victory, the Varsity Indians won the regular season opener for the tenth consecutive season.
August 24, 2001: The Hartford Indians, still two seasons away from entering the Southwestern Athletic Conference, took on SAC member Decatur in the regular season opener in 2001.
