September 20, 2014 Saugatuck Varsity Game Recap
The Hartford Indian Varsity football team, coming into week four off of a fourth quarter comeback win last week in Fennville, returned home to take on Saugatuck in a non-divisional, conference battle. The game, which featured a battle of teams with the Indian mascot, was the fourth meeting between the two schools all-time, which Hartford came in leading two wins to one.

Saugatuck Junior Varsity Game Recap
The Hartford Indian Junior Varsity football team, coming into week four off of a rare tie in a 14-14 dual with Fennville last week, took to the road for the second time this season on Thursday night, traveling to Saugatuck to take on the Indians. The Indians came into the game 1-1-1 on the season and beat Saugatuck, 42-0 in week four of the Junior Varsity season last year.

The Hartford Indian Varsity football team took to the road for the second time in three games on Friday night, when they traveled to Fennville to take on the Blackhawks in a non-divisional, Southwestern Athletic Conference football game. Hartford held a six wins to two advantage in the overall series going into the game, which included last years, 14-7 thrilling win at Hartford.

The Hartford Indian Junior Varsity football team hosted their second home game of the 2014 season on Thursday night at Indian Stadium against the Fennville Blackhawks. The Indian JV were also playing their third game of the season, coming off a season opening, 18-6 victory over Martin, before suffering a loss to Gobles, 26-6, in week two.

Gobles Varsity Game Recap
The Hartford Indian Varsity football team took a win in week one at Martin last week. In week two, the competition level went up, as Hartford hosted Gobles in a non-divisional, Southwestern Athletic Conference game. The Indians came into the game 6-2 versus Gobles, all while winning the last four meetings with the Tigers. But this years game was bound to be tight.

The Hartford Indian Junior Varsity football team, coming off of a 18-6 victory over Martin last week to open the season, took to the road in week two, traveling to Gobles to take on the Tigers. The Indians, having pulled out the victory with a ten point fourth quarter in week one, knew they would have to play a better, full game in week two to be victorious.

The Hartford Indian Varsity football team kicked off their 2014 season on Thursday night at Martin, where they faced a Clippers team that they had beaten five straight times. Martin also carried a 55 game losing streak into the game. The losing streak dates back to a first round playoff victory for the Clippers all the way back in 2007.

The Hartford Indian Junior Varsity football team kicked off the 2014 season on Wednesday night with a home game against the Martin Clippers, who the Indians were meeting for the second straight season in the season opening game. The Indians defeated the Clippers, 28-0 in the season opener last year.

Watervliet Varsity Playoff Game Recap
The Hartford Indians accomplished plenty of goals during the 2013 season. The Indians won six games and qualified for the playoffs for the 19th time in school history, making it eight times in nine years they were going to the postseason. They upset rival Decatur on Decatur’s own turf, keeping their season alive. One goal left unaccomplished was defeating another rival, Watervliet, which had defeated the Indians, 41-17, in week five of the regular season.

After starting the season with three straight victories and then losing three straight games after that, the Hartford Indians may have looked deflated on the outside, but on the inside, the fire still burned. After a huge victory over rival Decatur and then last week at Marcellus, the Indians gave themselves an opportunity at a season long goal — making the playoffs for the 19th time in school history and for the eighth time in nine years.

October 4, 2013: The Hartford Indians, 3-2 on the season, hosted Lawton in a Southwestern Athletic Conference South Division game. The Indians led 7-0 early in the first quarter over the Blue Devils, but it was the only lead they would have. Lawton would rally to score 30 straight points from there to take a 30-7 lead in the third quarter and held off a late Hartford rally to score the win, 33-22.
October 3, 2008: The Hartford Indians, 5-0 on the 2008 campaign, traveled to Decatur to take on the rival Raiders in a Southwestern Athletic Conference South Division game. In a fast-timed, grind it out game, Hartford trailed 8-7 with just seconds remaining in the game. But Hartford saved the best for last, with Juan Perez’s 34 yard field goal at the horn winning it for the Indians, 10-8.
