The Indians are 2-0 on the season and have scored both wins at Indian Stadium. As all teams must do, they must leave their home field during the fall.
This week will be the Indians first test on the road.
Hartford takes the road for the first time this season when they travel to Bloomingdale for a Southwestern Athletic Conference non-divisional matchup against the Cardinals. This will be the first meeting in two years for these schools, who are usually at the opposite ends of their respective divisions at the end of the season.
TEAMS AT A GLANCE

Record: 2-0 1-1
Win %: 1.000 .500
Scored: 109 58
Allowed: 28 51
Streak: Won 2 Lost 1
Hartford comes into the game 2-0 after their 47-28 victory over run-heavy New Buffalo squad by a 47-28 mark.
David Mireles led the Indians for the second week in a row on offense, running up 180 yards on just ten carries, adding three touchdowns along the way. Gareth MacMillan added 157 yards and one touchdown and Sergio Perez added 127 for an Indians team that racked up 503 yards of total offense.
Tony Kucharski led the Indian defense with nine stops, while Noey Lopez added six tackles and a fumble recovery and Andrew Garcia also
added six tackles, as well. The Indians dominated the line play against the Bison, thanks in a large part to those two.
The Indians next opponent comes in the form of a much improved Bloomingdale Cardinal club. Coach A.J. High's team comes into Friday's game with a 1-1 record, coming off a disappointing 10-8 loss at Decatur last Friday night. All the scoring in that game came in the second quarter and a safety off a punt was the difference.
The Cardinals are a "Wing-T" offense and are totally dependent on the run, where they have two runners currently over 100 yards on the season. Those two backs are Matt Tewell, who has 271 yards on thirty carries and two touchdowns, while T.J. Sobota has 179 yards on seventeen carries and two touchdowns. Four separate Cardinal backs have scored the seven touchdowns for them this season.
The defense is led by Matt Lopez with fifteen tackles, including a sack and one interception, as well, while Nathan Luce is the teams second leading tackler with eight on the season.
Come on out to Bloomingdale to cheer on the Indians this week! Despite the chance for a little weather this week, the Indians need your support on the road like they do at home!

NOTES: The Indian Junior Varsity team will host their first game of the season on Thursday night against Bloomingdale with kickoff set for 6:00 PM. The Indians are 2-0 after a 34-22 win at Niles against the Brandywine Bobcats last Wednesday night, winning along with the soccer team (8-0) in a Hartford-Brandywine doubleheader. The Indians and Cardinals share a common game in 2011, both having beaten New Buffalo, Hartford by a 47-28 score; Bloomingdale by a 50-41 score. The Indians currently lead the head-to-head with the host Cardinals 4-3, winning the previous two games in the series. This will be Hartford's second football visit to the new turf stadium in Bloomingdale, having played a scrimmage there last fall. The Junior Varsity played on the turf last year in a loss. The weather forecast for Friday looks slightly wet and cool this week. Temperatures are expected to be near sixty degrees at game time, with temperatures falling into the upper fifties by the end of the game. The forecast, as of press time, reveals a thirty percent chance of showers.
