STEVE GALVAN
Position: Experience:
JV Head Coach 2nd Season
(5-10-1 Overall)

Steve Galvan, Hartford High School graduate, football player and coach, enters his second season as the head football coach of the Hartford Indian Junior Varsity football team in 2011.
Galvan suffered a 1-7-1 mark in his first season at the helm of the Junior Varsity Indians, but that could have easily been much better, as the Indians were winning or close in six of the seven losses. He earned his first win October 14, 2010, a 28-18 decision on the road at Marcellus.
Prior to becoming head coach of the Junior Varsity, he served two seasons as the assistant coach of the Junior Varsity program. The Indians won just four games during those two seasons, but Coach Galvan gained strong coaching experience and knows that only 100% effort from his players will be enough. He continues to try to lead the Indian Junior Varsity to a winning record, something that has not been achieved since the Indians won seven games in the 2001 campaign.
Galvan is a 2000 graduate of Hartford High School and is a teacher in the Hartford Public Schools, where he is a social studies teacher at Hartford High School. He resides in Hartford and has one daughter, Jaelyne.
